Advent Revising v2.00 (Lite) Advent Revising is an unofficial fan patch designed to improve the cinematics of Advent Rising, restore removed cutscenes, and fix various other errors in the game. This English patch does not fix gameplay issues, but corrects common problems with movie playback such as audio desync, low framerate, and inaccurate lip-syncing, as well as replacing the content that was cut in the PC version of the game. Additionally, in-game subtitles have been completely redone, rewritten, and retimed. Usually this will be C:\Program Files\Advent Rising\, or if you're using the Steam version, C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\advent rising\ On a 64-bit installation, the Program Files folder will be C:\Program Files (x86)\ You'll be prompted to replace the existing files. Choose "Yes to all" to install the patch. If you're worried about the patch causing damage, then you may want to back up your Advent Rising folder. However, the patch will not change any crucial or irreplaceable files (such as save games). If you have the Steam version, validating the game cache will cause the entire patch to be removed.
